General

In order that we may have a safe, smooth and effective session, please take a moment to read through the terms and policies of Santulan Massage.

1.Deposit
All appointments require a deposit of $80.00, to be prepaid before the date of service. This amount must be received no later than 3 days before the time of appointment. If you book at the last time, you are expected to send in the deposit right away.

The amount will be adjusted against the rate for the chosen service at time of checkout. This amount will be treated as cancellation fee if the appointment is cancelled with less than the required 24hr notice for any reason whatsoever. Kindly read further for more details.

2. Appointment confirmation via text
Once the appointment is booked either online or via phone, a text is sent to the client. It requires the client to visit this page on the website and to read and familiarize themselves with the policies and terms of service of Santulan Massage.
Please take a moment to read through this entire page & acknowledge by sending a text to Santulan Massage, so that we are all on the same page and avoid misunderstandings. By sending the text, the client agrees to the policies of Santulan Massage.

3. Face mask requirement continues.
A face mask must be worn at all times because of work being done in close proximity for an hour or longer.
Also, at Santulan Massage work is done on cancer & post surgery patients whose immunity is often low and compromised. So in addition to the cleaning & dininfecting in between appointments, masking is a simple way for all parties to try and be safe in these challenging times of ever present flu/allergy seasons.
Any exemptions require a current note from the physician.
If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for you at a $5 charge.

4. Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In order to be understanding and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. This gives the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice, you will be charged the requisite cancellation fees (that is the deposit) of your appointment, no matter what the reason might be. Santulan Massage works by appointment only and is often unable to fill a slot if cancellation happens at the last minute. This can often impact finances for a micro-practice. Therefore, this amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Santulan Massage reserves the right to refuse service for any reason it deems fit, for any client, at any time, even in the middle of a session.

5. No-shows
In order to avoid or minimize cancellations, the deposit amount is required to be paid by at least 3 days before the appointment date. If an appointment has been made at the last minute, the deposit must be paid right away. If the client does not respond to the therapist’s texts or phone calls, the appointment will be cancelled by Santulan Massage and will be treated as a “ No-show”.

6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of service. The balance amount is adjusted against the deposit. A receipt is always emailed to the client once the payment has been received. The preferred forms of payment include cash, check, credit card, Zelle, Venmo & Cash App.
Credit card payments include a 3% processing fee, and may be higher on HSA cards, if entered manually.

7. Punctuality
Santulan values and appreciates punctuality & wants to give you your full session time. If this is your first session with Santulan, you are required to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork & to allow time for the therapist to review it with you.
Please understand that it is the client’s responsibility to make allowances for traffic, road work, check the GPS for correct directions plus parking & leave enough time to complete intake form, especially if you’re a first time client.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, the session will be curtailed/cancelled. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the payment of the full session.
Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
*** In order that the treatment area is kept clean, disinfected & aired out for each client, there’s a one hour gap between appointments. Arriving late will cut into this time and hence your session is likely be shortened so that the next client’s session duration is not affected.

8. Hydration
Santulan wants you to feel great after a session! In order that you derive the maximum benefit of a session here at Santulan, ample hydration is a must for all body and skin therapy services to help the body eliminate toxins and revive a sluggish and tired system. Please consume at least 8-10 glasses of water starting the day before your treatment & continuing the day of service to really see and feel the difference. Bring a water bottle inside with you to continue this post treatment as well. Continue to help the body after a session with proper hydration and nourishment, avoiding caffeine & alcohol for 24 hours, if possible.
If you're not well hydrated, it is likely that you’ll feel worse after a session. Dehydration can cause headaches and in some cases, increased soreness, nausea and vomiting & flu-like symptoms.

9. Pre-existing conditions
While filling out the questionnaire, please let the massage therapist know if you have any pre-existing conditions. Not disclosing such information may affect the outcome of your session. All accidents, injuries, surgeries and medical conditions and the medications you are presently taking need to be mentioned. Please bring a list of medications if needed, along with the reason why it is being taken.

10. Parking
All clients are required to park only in guest parking area & register their vehicle as a visitor. your vehicle must be parked in the side street Calloway Orchard Dr., and register your vehicle by scanning the QR code on the sign post.

11. Privacy
In order to maintain privacy, confidentiality and safety of the client and the therapist, only the person receiving the service will be allowed inside. An ID maybe requested.

12. Returning clients
Santulan Massage believes that regular, consistent sessions bring about the desired results faster and last longer over time. Hence all returning clients are required and encouraged to buy a therapy package to get the most out of each session. Depending on the issues that need attention & help, the number of sessions and their frequency will be determined by the therapist so that both parties are able to notice favorable results happening, whether it is for a massage or lymphatics. The more you buy, the more you save!
This is also applicable to those who have not come in for a session for a while for whatever reason and are looking to resume their wellness journey.
