Terms of service

Covid-19 safety protocol: Mask must be worn at all times. Proof of vaccination is preferred. Any exemptions require a current note from the physician. For additional safety, there’s a 60 minute gap between appointments to allow for cleaning, disinfecting & airing out of the treatment area using EPA grade products. Also, only the person receiving the massage will be allowed in. ID may be requested. Thank you for your understanding. Let’s help all parties stay safe in these challenging times.

Deposit

Effective 8/15/2023, all appointments require a deposit of $75.00, to be prepaid before the date of service. This amount must be received no later than 48hrs before the time of appointment. The amount will be adjusted against the rate for the chosen service at time of checkout. Please text the therapist at 980-202-2211 to convey completion of payment. Appointment confirmation via text

Once the appointment is booked either online or via phone, a text with instructions is sent to the client. It includes information on hydration, punctuality, parking, cancellation policy, credit card requirement and more. Please take a moment to read through the text & acknowledge so that we are all on the same page and avoid misunderstandings. By replying to the text, the client agrees to adhere to the policies of Santulan Massage.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be understanding and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. This gives the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice, you will be charged the requisite cancellation fees of your appointment, no matter what the reason might be. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. Santulan Massage reserves the right to refuse service for any reason it deems fit, for any client, at any time.

No-shows
In order to avoid or minimize cancellations, a credit card is required to be held on file. Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment. Again, if there's no credit card on file, the cancellation charges will have to be paid prior to next scheduled appointment. To minimize such no shows, a deposit is now required for all services.

Late Arrivals
Santulan values punctuality & wants to give you your full session time. If this is your first session with Santulan, arrive at least 20-25 minutes early to complete paperwork.
Please understand that it is the client’s responsibility to make allowances for traffic, road work, check the GPS for correct directions & leave enough time to complete intake form, especially if you’re a first time client. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the payment of the full session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
*** In order that the treatment area is kept clean, disinfected & aired out for each client, there’s a one hour gap between appointments. Arriving late will cut into this time and hence your session is likely be shortened so that the next client’s session duration is not affected.

Hydration
Santulan wants you to feel great after a session! In order that you derive the maximum benefit of a session here at Santulan, ample hydration is a must for all body and skin therapy services to help the body eliminate toxins and revive a sluggish and tired system. Please consume at least 8-10 glasses of water starting the day before your treatment & continuing the day of service to really see and feel the difference. Post treatment, it is of course essential to continue to help the body with proper hydration and nourishment, avoiding caffeine & alcohol for 24 hours, if possible. If you're not well hydrated, it is likely that you’ll feel worse after a session. Dehydration can cause headaches and in some cases, increased soreness, nausea and vomiting.

Pre-existing conditions
While filling out the questionnaire, please let the massage therapist know if you have any pre-existing conditions. Not disclosing such information may affect the outcome of your session. All accidents, injuries, surgeries and medical conditions need to be mentioned. The more you tell us, the better we can help you.
