Renuka Hari

Massage Therapist, Esthetician,

Reiki Master

I'm Renuka Hari, a Licensed Massage Therapist & Esthetician, a solo practitioner in the city of Charlotte, NC. I'm also Board Certified at National level by NCBTMB. I've been practicing massage therapy for over 13 years now. In 2015, I got my Esthetician license to practice skincare, and am certified as an Oncology Esthetician as well. Losing both my parents to cancer made me quite determined to get certified in Oncology Massage to help people with cancer, which I’ve been doing for 9 years now. I'm also listed as a Preferred Practitioner with S4OM Society for Oncology Massage. Becoming a Board Certified Therapist was a personal goal of mine. I did it to show my commitment to the field of massage and to uphold higher standards required of such therapists, both in knowledge and practice.
In 2021, I became an Approved Provider with NCBTMB to teach other massage therapists Oncology Breast Massage: Lymphedema, Scar Tissue & Myofascial Release. I did this with the intent that the more massage therapists learn such techniques, the more those with cancer can find care & help easily.
Recently in January 2022, I completed a 5 day intensive class and became a Manual Lymph Drainage, MLD-C therapist in Vodder techniques. This certification will benefit not just Oncology clients but also those seeking pre & post surgery lymphatics and also lymphatics for weight loss.

I moved to NC in 2016 after practicing in CA for 7 years in women's health & wellness. In my practice, I use an integrative approach in both massage & skincare that looks at the body in its entirety manner combining my Eastern culture and upbringing with Western training & modalities. It’s also integrative in the sense that all the skills & knowledge learned so far is used to help my clients to feel their best.

At Santulan, dignity & respect for the human body is emphasized, which is why the techniques used are gentle yet deep enough to create a change in the body for the better, with minimum pain & soreness. This, I believe, is not possible if the massage therapist is not honest, authentic & passionate about helping others & values having a long lasting relationship with its clients. Growth, learning & change are important and Santulan is always looking into new, different and better ways of serving their clients. This is why Santulan specializes in integrating & blending techniques to provide maximum benefit for its clients, each & every time.

Santulan Massage believes in giving back to the community in whatever way possible. Every 3rd Thursday of the month, I speak about Breast Tissue Health & Lymphatics at the Carolina Breast Friends aka The Pink House in Charlotte, NC. Santulan also helps out as a volunteer with BCH, Breast Cancer Hub, by giving talks and educating those with cancer about Breast Tissue Health. Both of these organizations are non-profit, offering support & resources for those affected by cancer. I’m honored to be a part of this circle.
Combining massage therapy and a unique approach to skincare allows Santulan to offer more for its clients and help make services even more customized & special. For me, this means learning as well as putting into practice such diverse massage modalities like Ayurvedic, Deep Tissue, Pre & Post Natal, gentle Myofascial Release, Neuro-muscular therapy, Cranio-Sacral therapy & energy work like Reiki & Chakra Balancing.

One of the questions I’m asked most often is how & why did I become a massage therapist? While trying to recover from an auto accident many years back, it was massage therapy that got me moving again. When the time came for me to pursue a different career, massage therapy seemed the obvious choice. Also, I must mention that being a healer runs in my family. I remember my grandmother using her "healing touch" along with her knowledge of traditional Indian herbal medicine called Ayurveda, Chakras, Mantras and diet to help others feel better. Today, I receive guidance from my aunt who is also very knowledgeable in these traditions.

Now with over 13 years of following this path of massage as a form of therapy, I feel that learning never really ends. The more I learn, the more I’m able to help my clients. Thanks to the encouragement I receive from my family & clients, I'm now giving back by integrating all that I've learned and I must say it feels wonderful.

Bring some Santulan into your life today!
